Greencheek conure, golden conure, black headed caique, red fronted macaws, and greenwing macaw.
I just got a golden conure who was rehomed due to owner have dementia. She could not remember anything about the bird (name, age, sex, etc.). We were able to read the leg band and hoping to find some information about the bird. The leg band was LB TX and three numbers after. Any and all help would be greatly appreciated.

I wish you luck. I've tried running down info on bands before with no luck other than year of hatch. If you run across info on CAV TX I would appreciate knowing about it

If I run across any information on either of ours I will let you know. Here is a picture of the golden we got. He/she is still very skittish as has not been handled in several years I think.

What a beauty! Cant help you with the leg band. Years ago I found a website that allowed me to confirm the quarantine station that my wild-caught bird passed through. It matched what I was told when I acquired my bird 50 years ago.

I hope someone is able to help you find more info on your leg band for a captive-bred bird!

Do you by chance remember where you found the information on your wild caught? Don't think this one is wild caught but never know since a round not flat band.

I don’t remember the exact website ( it was a spreadsheet IIRC), but I just searched and found this discussion:

My bird had (long since removed since my mother feared it would get caught on something) an open rounded leg band with 3 letters followed by 3 numbers. The letters indicated the quarantine station he was imported into.

Hope this helps!

I don't think it is open but my husband thinks it is. If it is open I've never seen one closed so perfect you can barely even see a spilt. Since it had two letter then TX, but TX is not sideways like on my other parrots leg band which is flat, not rounded. I thought maybe a breeder but, I could be wrong. I wish breeders would register with someplace so people can find out more information on their parrots.

The mystery continues….

I also found this website:

Thank you for trying to help. I unfortunately don't think we will ever be able to find out more about him/her. We will just try to calm him down some and just give him/her a loving home no matter if tame or not. From what the daughter of the owner told me she does not think he/she has been handled since her father passed away in 2011. We think he is doing super to not being handles for that long.

A beautiful bird. Like feathered sunshine. I know little about band information. The breeder I got my first CAG told me to have vet take pictures of band and have it in record. Is there a way to contact veterinarians and giving previous owners name and band #?
