I know thew topic has been raised before but I'm doing so again in the hopes that there will be some new remedy mentioned.
I am vigilant about removing fresh foods as soon as Percy's done eating. I change his cage liner at least twice a day but sometimes three times a day. Now that I'm on leave I also wipe up fresh poop throughout the day with a cloth rinsed in hot water. I feel I'm doing everything to limit attracting a gnat. However, Percy still has them visiting all the time. He has now become somewhat wary of them and refuses to go into his cage until I've shown him that I've shoo'd them all away. He just freezes, pulls his feathers in tight, cocks his head and stares at them
Any tips? Please?
