Thanks everyone :) Cheerios are his FAVORITE in the whole wide world lol I had to lure him away with a cheerio from the jackpot bag LOL

Oh, I know....I know....Marley loves cheerios too!!
I use them for harness training...LOL
She would even push her head through the loop to get the cheerio...LOL
But would try to pull her head right back after cheerio is in her beak.
Beautiful pictures!

He surprises me every day!! These last couple days he's been letting me pet his back, wings, and chest- I've NEVER been able to even think of doing that before!! And lately when I give him scritching sessions I've been smelling that musky zon cologne I've read about in other posts. Ooo ooo- and today- he let me KISS him on the head o_O I was so nervous but went for it lol

Cheerios are very good for people but very bad for birds. They have a lot of iron added and birds don't need any extra iron -it goes to the liver and ends up causing liver disease.

Awww... There's always one party pooper in the flock lol (just teasing)
Thanks for the info, I wouldn't have known that- so I'll refrain from giving him any more Cheerios :)

That's true for almost all cereals and most processed foods made for humans.
Once in a blue moon though..............
Try hot air popcorn with no butter and salt, that tends to be a hit while still being a somewhat healthy treat.

Oh I see... Makes sense. Guess I'll have to be more careful with what I give my little green piggy lol. He hasn't had cheerios in a while and he definitely doesn't get them on a regular basis.

Ah! SUCH a cute bird! I dunno why but all my birds have lived cheerioes too! Maybe it's the "crunch"? Thanks for sharing photos of your baby!

I think everything in moderation. ;)

MANY moons ago, before I even had my own parrot, I visited this little old French lady who taught me all about wildlife rehabilitation. Anyway, she had a B&G Macaw and a Yellow Naped Amazon. The B&G was over 60 at the time, and the Amazon over 50. They had lived on human food their entire life. She never purchased a single bag of parrot food. And they both looked FANTASTIC!! :D
