Gilbert Oliver, Blue Crown Conure; Georgie, Sun Conure (2/8/01-8/8/12) RIP little girl; Percy, budgie 1993-1999. RIP Pepito-spanish timbrado canary
I had just been saying how Gilbert loves tv/shoulder time in the evening (typically i give him about 30 min to an hour of shoulder time at night, when i have the tv on before bed and other than that he doesn't get shoulder time). He loves to 'do shoulder', as we call it, and it is reserved for when he is very calm and sweet, and if he isn't, i put him back on his perch with a toy.
Lately he has been very chattery. It is so cute. Then last night he seemed sappy sweet and cuddly, chattering and playful and then, SPLAT, he regurgitated on me.
I just calmly picked him up and put him back on his perch and ignored the regurgitation but still was upbeat with him (not to offend him but not to encourage that behavior either). Anyhow, i'm hoping it simply resolves itself like it did with Percy, but the cute part of it is how much he is telling me he loves me.

I'm struggling with that right now. Every time Sheldon gets cuddly he starts head bopping fast, as soon as I see that I put him back on his perch because I know he's going to regurgitate on me....YUCK

It's there way of showing their affection, sort of how we give hugs.
