Gilbert Oliver, Blue Crown Conure; Georgie, Sun Conure (2/8/01-8/8/12) RIP little girl; Percy, budgie 1993-1999. RIP Pepito-spanish timbrado canary
I felt like making him some birdy bread/cake today, so that's what we did. I guess i'm kind of a bad mommy in that department because I don't bake very much anymore. (I used to bake frequently but not for a few years.)

We kept it simple and I did cornbread with whole corn added, and put carrots, peppers and his pellets in the Cuisinart and stirred that in the batter. I sprinkled a few nuts and pieces of dried fruit in it as well and then baked it. He seemed to enjoy it. It made quite a bit so he will have some to snack on for a while. :)

He was giving me attitude for bothering him with the camera.

He got over his snit (he was really giving me attitude on Saturday when i gave him the first piece!! We didn't follow our routine in his normal sequence and he was all bent out of shape!) I gave him a little piece of the bread again yesterday and he gobbled it up. This morning i crumbled a piece of it with his pellets and sure enough, he went right to the bowl and ate the bird bread first.

Lucky Gilbert!! And he gave you attitude? HAHAHAHAH!!! I LOVE reading different recipes for birdie bread. Will try out your version next time. :)

Beautiful picture of Gilbert (even WITH attitude) :D
