Hello :)
Um, I want to give my baby cockatiel a bath to get rid of the build up of food! It's quite bad! But I don't have a heat lamp or anything to dry her off.
Also, I think I"m making progress with my ringneck, he's sitting up now and looking a bit more interested and less scared.
I think my cockatiel is going to fly any day now. I'm so sad. Don't want them to grow up!! It's been so much fun, and I don't think I'll be raising any more after this :)

Bathe her in warm water, you have to really soak it to get the food particals off. Then towel dry, keep the house on the warmer side for now until she's fully dried.

Since he was newly removed from nest box that's why he's scared. After a few days of them knowing your their new parent now they calm down.

Should I fill a shallow bucket with water, or put her in the sink and use a hose?

Congratulations!!! He is beautiful!!!!

You can do shallow bucket! Just keep the water warm and kept getting the food partical area wet. It can be a pain to remove them once fully dried. So you'll be soaking for awhile.

Yeah tell me about it! It's hard to wipe it off the bench tops let alone his feathers! Ok we'll see how it goes. How cute. His first bath!!! :)

When you hand feed them just clean them off afterwards with a wet towel. Easier that way then to remove dry formula off feathers. :)

That's a very cute picture! Is that the protective chihuahua???

Yep that's the protective one. Doesn't want to touch it just wants to watch mainly!

My chihuahua sits there to observe but is absolutely terrified of the macaws...lol

Hahha I don't blame him, the macaws are probably bigger than him! Are your Macaws tame and friendly?
