I'll be looking at cages in the area, or on amazon/ebay etc. I found a pretty decent one before, so I'll probably end up just going for that.

I'll probably just end up setting my own thing up if possible, or finding a small job a few hours a day or, long hours for a small amount of days if possible. We'll see anyway. Moving soon so everything will be changes soon anyway. eeek

Hi

Have you tried going on facebook to look for parrot cages etc. Where I live we have pages like 'Buy and Sell around Torbay'. I put on there that I was looking for parrot stuff and got him a great playstand for £10.

Also with the toys - I find it expensive to replace them all the time so I brought some to start with and then you can buy the bits to make your own. I'm not very creative so just keep the rope etc from a shop brought one and add more wooden bits for him to destroy. I also weave strips from cardboard boxes through the bars in his cage. He loves destroying them. If you have 'The Range' near you, they do some cheaper toys. Not sure how much cheaper than the internet but there is no postage cost and they are loads cheaper than the pet shop.

Hope all goes well. I love my Macaw and wouldn't change him for anything. He is very noisy and the neighbours probably hate him but who cares, he makes me laugh.
