Getting a Blue and Gold!

So we have found a breeder, who is even personally going to deliver him or her to us!
We haven't decided weather we want a male or a female yet, but either way I'm happy, it doesn't really bother me. But i think in some way i would prefer a boy.
This breeder sounds great, really cares for his birds, which is why his personally delivering our little guy/girl to us in August. I seriously cannot wait! We went looking for cages yesterday too, which made it seem so real
Well i guess its only a month now, so the wait wont be too long, better keep myself occupied so it doesn't drag on forever lol.
I wonder how Scarlet will take it... Does anyone have an Eclectus and a Macaw that even remotely get along?

Congrats on getting a new baby!!! I don't trust my Macaws with any other birds as they don't play nice with any other birds and only play nice with me or the dogs. My ekkies only like my partner or I. They don't care for the other types of birds as I tried to interact them with birds their size, Dixie our LSC, and JoJo ended up pecking at her because of jealousy with me. So the ekkies play nice with each other or us and that's about it....

I agree with Mikey about big macs not always playing nice with smaller birds. There are ALWAYS exceptions, but you will have to be REALLY careful.

Congrats! We have a male Ekkie and should be getting our Blue and Gold girl in a week maybe two and I can't wait! Our boy will be 1 in August so I hope that since they're both young we might have some luck ...fingers crossed! I'm am anxious to see about them getting along as well

I have to say between my gw macaw and my grey. My grey Quincy is the one that is the aggressor! Nothing serious. But there is a lot of attitude in that little body! Lol

Because of the size difference they should be kept apart. Macs can do a lot of damage quickly and you have to ask yourself now if you could live with that, I know I could not.
