Her nest is the size of a golf ball, and the eggs are the size of tic tacs! Isnt that amazing???

Oh my, she is really blowing around! She is so precious!!!

okay, who is taking on the duty of daily monitoring so we know when the babies hatch!?

We can take shifts! That will be amazing to see those little tiny things!

You got it. Good thing my boss is on vacation, lol!

Guess that makes me evening shift..lol.

She's beautiful and that tiny little nest looks about the size of a thimble. It really is cuteness overload.

A few years ago I was fortunate enough to experience this right in my tree where I used to live :) we saw eggs, babies, and all. It was such a cool experience. I'd never seen anything like that before.

Edit: I thought I'd mention it here (I also said it in a recent post) but in order for us to see the little nest and eggs, we had to carefully pull down on a branch in order for it to be within view... I thought it was funny that we had to assure to release the branch back into place very carefully, as to not accidentally "fling" the nest and eggs off! :D

RavensGryf, how lucky you were to see that first hand! I am hooked on this hummingbird webcam, it's so relaxing to watch it. I can't wait to see how the babies and the mama fit in that tiny little nest!

I checked early this morning when I woke up, then realized I'm on the east coast, was still dark there!!!

I THOUGHT i saw the eggs moving a little....they only take 17 days to hatch, can you believe that?

lol @ jenphilly, checking in the dark!

I can't see them moving, I'm too blind! But someone, I'm assuming a chat mod, kept saying that there was egg movement. And yeah, I read 16-18 days! The first egg is 17 days old, I believe. Any time now!

Oh my gosh, i'm so excited! Between this and the eagle cam, i'm not getting much work done, lol.

I was thinking the eggs were just moving from the wind, but it could have been from little chicks getting ready! We shall see!
