lol the kestrels talons were nothing, I have one little scratch, honestly my friends cockatiel has sharper claws haha

The pelicans were annoyingly elusive for me when I was over in September - saw a couple asleep under the pier at Monterrey and got all exited, then none for the rest of my visit until we stopped in at Morro Bay and suddenly there were dozens of them. They're magnificent creatures, there's something quite prehistoric about them.
