Amy a Blue Front 'Zon
Jonesy a Goffins 'Too who had to be rehomed :-(

And a Normal Grey Cockatiel named BB who came home with me on 5/20/2016.
... I am learning now that cockatiels can get frightened pretty easily.

BB has had a couple "night frights" and it freaks ME out.

This evening,Uncle Joe came by to play cards. Amy was on her Tee perch on the kitchen table and Beebs was on my shoulder. I offered Amy a nutraberry, and some how just kinda hit/bumped her tail, and she let out a yell.

Well the little grey fluff ball jumped off my shoulder, flying around in circles in the kitchen, and managed to crash land IN the large trash barrel . I kind of chuckled for an instant,as he immediately started calling for me.
By the time I got off the chair,he was already perched on the lip of the basket, kind of just looking around, thinking to himself "ok,what just happened here??"
He is fine of course, but still, scary to me.

They are crazy birds. One of mine was carrying on the other night because a cricket landed in the aviary.

they are indeed easily scared. Having 8 of them it only takes one to start flapping about in the cage and it get ALL of them scared.
I think I have it figured out now. Pinky is the one that gets all the others started.

Now I just have to figure out what it is that is spooking her.

I never leave them in the dark either but in winter I have to cover them more. I don't want them to get gold air from the windows they are close to.
There night vision is sooo poor that what is dim light for us is complete black for them.
