My parrotlet died last week and I won't be getting another bird, as much as I want to. I have a floor stand cage (on wheels) suitable for parrotlet, lovebird, or parakeets. I also have a small travel cage for vet visits - accessories for the cage like perches (natural wood branch) and cups - swing and ladder.

I also just purchased food that I cannot use. I have unopened bags of Roudybush Maintenance in mini size - and Avi-Cakes - and a Roudybush Soak treat that was opened but only a tiny bit used.

If you are in NYC and can pick these things up in Manhattan - they are yours. I just want them to go to a home that can use them - ASAP - as it is hard to look at his cage empty.

Contact me here if you are interested.

JBlue... just so very sorry.
I wish you well in recovering.
How generous and brave of you to offer the supplies.

None of my business, but... maybe someday you'll be ready to offer another bird your heart and home.

Again, my sincerest sympathies.

So sorry jblue, hardest thing is losing a loving companion. Just a thought, there may be a rescue facility near by that would love to take any extra supplies you have. At least you know they will be going to a place that could use and appreciate them.

I am so sorry for your loss. Bless you for thinking of other birds with your so generous offer.

Agree Fully!!!

First, Freeze the Dry Foods!!!
Second , Call your Avian Vet or one near by you and ask for a recommendation of (as stated above) a rescue facility!

Very sorry for your loss! Lots of Loving Bird People here! Nice to know that there are people somewhere that care and understand...

I am sorry for your loss, my friend, I've had the same experience. And I know how hard it is to see your guys stuff everyday. But dont put out of your mind that you will never get another parrot. I thought so too.. and then Salty happened. And while I will always miss my little Maxie, Salty is a priviledge to live with. Again, my best wishes for you .

Am so sorry! As others said, don't count yourself out yet! From the list of your supplies, it is obvious you care in doing right!
There are many hurting little guys out there that have been dumped for no reason of their own. We can't save them all, but to that one, it is special!

Thank you for all your kind words. Unfortunately I have a relatively new dog (got her 6 months ago) who is a hunter and I don't trust her around a bird that is loose. Although she did not cause my bird's death in any way - he was limited in how much he could come out of the cage since I got her. I won't put another bird in jeopardy.
