Free Parrot Training Site www.trainedparrot.com

Hello everyone,

I have finally found what I have been looking for! A free informational site that shows in full detail how to train a parrot. This free guide goes through the trainers full experience showing each stage, he talks about the problems he faces and how many sessions it usually takes.

His videos are also on You Tube. I am going to follow this guide with Jack. I have already started using his method of the "wave trick" it worked great!

He has listed a whole bunch of tricks and I can't wait to get started.

I would however appreciate some feed back from some senior experts in this field. Have a look at what techniques he uses. He mentions for taming that he uses a negative reinforcement style. I have always heard that, only positive reinforcement is the way to go.

Just thougt I would share my find.

Cheers

Thanks guys... that makes me feel better:)

Awesome link thanks I have book marked it for future reference as there never enough time in one day with two kids on the loose

looks good so far I singed up for the free 30 day training and taming course I will let you know how good it is. I have been searching and searching for something like this now just to see if it works!

I am wondering if anyone looked at the video of this young man holding his bird in various ways. I have to tell you I cringed when I watched the vid. I realize the vets must hold a bird by the neck with support due to the anatomy of the lungs but this guy goes way beyond. Please someone watch it and give me some feedback on what you think. Thanks

Sorry, I was remiss and didn't look at the link until now! I opened it when I posted then had to let a customer use the PC.

I've seen this guy before...Micheal I think?

I saw a video of him to get tips before I got Cal and did think I had never seen a bird lifted like that. My AV used both hands to lift before sort of balancing her on her back.

I can't comment on whether it's right or wrong either SB. I've never seen it before and I'd not do it...so....?
