FREE - Looking for Good Home for GCC in San Antonio, TX area

My nephew graduated from the Univ. of Connecticut and moved back overseas. He was not able to take his parrot back with him. He is a happy little bird that loves to sing and play. We are offering him free to a good home along with his cage, toys, vet records and food. Please message me if you are interested in adding him to your family. His name is Gucci.

I am in San Antonio, TX and would prefer to give him to someone in this area so that there is no need for the stress of shipping him.

Hi! I know I just joined, which I’ve read is sketchy, I promise I’m not trying to be. I love birds, while I was in high school my family had a a mustache parakeet, cockatiel, sun conure, and parrotlet (Pumpkin, he was mine). He came with me while I was in undergrad but Pumpkin did end up living with his grandma when I went to grad school. I hated not taking him with me but he was happy by his sunny bay window and ended up loving my mom more than me . I am settled now, done with school and looking for a bird to take care of. I have a nice apartment that is more of a townhouse style near Houston, TX and would be happy to drive to meet and hopefully adopt Gucci if you feel I am a good person for him! I work 10 minutes from home, hours are 8-5, I would also like to know if you think this schedule would be ok and provide Gucci with enough together time and attention?

Dear GCC Gucci, I am a retired grandmother with a very tame GCC of my own.Paddy was a rescue from a seriously ill owner.Paddy has been with me for 7 + years. I have been a member here during that time and well known to the community. I've had birds since I was a little girl.I am in Pennsylvania however but I could give a stable home to Gucci. We have a flight cage under cover in our large yard,Paddy gets enrichment outside daily weather permitting.Please let me know if this sounds good to you. Blessings Bonita

Dear GCC Gucci, I know your intent was someone in your area.I can understand if you are set on that. I know Gucci would do well here. As I said we have a covered area outback with a flight cage for enrichment.Paddy my GCC would love a friend but they would each have their own cage.I have been wanting a friend for him for sometime, of course I would pay shipping cost any needed expense.My husband and I choose to have our pets be those in need of a home.We have a 1 yr.old pup we rescued from York SPCA.Pippin is bird friendly as Paddy is out with me all of us relate well.I really hope you consider me as caretaker for Gucci, my pets are precious to me as my children.
