Fostering

i've been wanting to get into fostering rehomed parrots (the smaller types like conures, quakers, etc.) but don't know how to start. I have an extra cage currently that I could use for the bird and I'm open to buying new toys for it and putting in work to make it comfortable. and tips on how to get started?

I would find a rescue in your area and go from there. Most have applications for potential foster owners and will help you find a bird that suits you. If you want a specific species that you haven't had experience with, I recommend visiting the rescue in person and interacting with the bird before taking it home to make sure you understand their personality and body language.
