Hello I just got a 6 week old sun conure form a breeder, he explained how to hand feed him and everything. When j was feeding him yesterday he shook his head and some of the Formula when into his nose I quickly wiped it off, however there’s still some in his nostril and is a hard. I don’t want to hurt him someone please help

Holding him gently, take a damp wash cloth and moisten his nostril by massaging the area with the wash cloth until the hard clump begins to soften. It may take a few minutes of doing this and getting he formula clump soft again so you can extract it. Take breaks to ensure he is still able to breathe. Keep massaging the area until it gets wet again and can be wiped away with a Q tip.
It's generally not recommended to hand-feed a baby bird without the proper experience, even though the breeder 'teaches you', there is much to learn, luckily this isn't an emergency problem but sometimes we get posts here with people who have really sick baby birds and don't know how to help them and its because a breeder sold them the baby too early. When you buy a properly weaned baby, its already eating adult bird food and wont need help eating so it takes out many of the issues people face when buying a young baby.

Also, parrot nostrils have a little 'bead' at the base of each nostril, that can look like a tiny bit of dried formula - is isnt. Dont try to wipe that out or dig it out.

Be careful, things can go bad quickly with babies. Keep things ultra clean, make sure food is correct temp, buy a thermometer to be safest. Get a kitchen digital scale about 20 bucks at Walmart or other stores, write down weights of bird in a log, I'd weigh first thing and last thing every day. Be sure and always have pellets and veggies available,. Does he eat on his own at all? I might would add probiotics, do not add to water, either sprinkle on food or add to formula once a day, or every other day. What do poops look like? Can the breeder offer any advice? Watch a bunch of you tube video too, might help. Good luck
