Rest in Peace Rio
I put River's new foraging wheel in his cage and he's happily figuring out how to get his treats out. I want to take a video, but of course he immediately stop as soon as the camera is pointed at him! lol

He got all excited right away because he could see his beloved nutriberries, pecans, and walnuts in it. He first tried just pecking at the plastic, that of course didn't work, now he's got it figured out to turn the wheel and receive his prize!

oh i might get one :) i got nut a foraging ball but she's not into that, oh except throwing off top of her cage to make a bang lol

I have seen them, but I haven't bought Max one yet. I bought this instead...

Foragewise Parrot's Treasure Bird Toy by Nature's Instinct: Foraging toys for pet birds

I bought this when I took Max to the vet. I thought after such a rough day, my little girl could use a new toy :) We went out of the examination room, into the waiting room. Max was in her carrier, and I spotted the treasure chest. I had been eyeing this toy since I brought Max home, because she loves the color yellow.

I showed it to Max, and she was trying to get out of her carrier to rip open the package and play with the toy. So I knew that this was going to be a big favorite on her list of toys. When we finally got home, I opened the toy and put her treats in the chest. I hung it up. And she decided to step on top of it and try to pry the lid off.

She has had it now for 4 days and until today, she has figured out how to undo one key, but she still hasn't done the other key, so it is sitting there half done. Today, I came home and she tucked the key back in. LOL

Upgirl, that one looks like lots of fun! There's a few other foraging type toys I would like to get eventually, but had to restrain myself from getting too much at once! lol

Max seems to enjoy it a lot. She likes to play with the keys and turn them for a long while. And since it is yellow, she is really excited about it :) Right now it is a toss up between the foraging toy and her new swing...

Bird swings, toys and perches: Plane Bird Swing at Drs. Foster and Smith

Drsfostersmith.com sometimes have a deal where if you buy a certain food, it comes with a foraging toy. They had foraging balls that came with a specific food a couple months ago. So when I see a deal like that, then I buy that item :) Why not save a little money that way?

A coworker of mine has been wanting to get that little plane swing for her budgie. It's too cute! I ordered my food, foraging wheel, and foraging basket from mysafebirdstore and the woman that takes care of the orders included some free foot toys. From her facebook page, she seems to often include a little gift. :) The prices were better there than fosterssmith (even WITH the shipping!), plus I put in a promo code for even more off. Yea for saving money! I don't work for mysafebirdstore, and stand nothing to gain mentioning them. (just wanted to add that) ;)

lol I just use them because they are the only company I have found so far that has a specific couple of treats I give Max. I use a lot of other sites for toys. And I also make a lot of my own toys--I just spent a large wad of cash on toy parts :) I have a HUGE creative bug going on and with my mom and sister both having Amazons, I have a lot of toys to make! LOL
