I am looking for budgie sized stainless steel food bowls that are easy to remove (unscrewing every time I wash or refill seems like it would be onerous) but not easy to flip. They need to be hangable to work in the cage. It's one of those tall, skinny cages where there isn't room to put anything on the bottom because of poop. Does anyone have any ideas? A better cage would allow for use of regular sitting bowls but I can't afford that right now. I am open to stainless steel cage recommendations all the same, so I can start planning. Thank you!

I have certain bowls that I love to use for my budgies because they are shallow and wide. I hate when the seed gets buried under chaff or there isn't enough room to put different food items side by side in one bowl. Most stainless steel bowls are too deep for little budgies, IMO.
The bowls I love are 6 inches round, clear green

plastic, and lock into place with a quick turn. They can be easily mounted in any wire barred cage. Easy to clean and I can put seed or pellets toward one one side and some chop or chopped veggies toward the other. They are sold as bathing bowls and are great for that too, or as a wide shallow water bowl.
The picture I've attached is the bowl part that twists and locks in. There's a matching lower part that attaches to the cage that you lock the bowl into.
I buy them on Amazon for about $10 each which is a bit pricy for one bowl but they are unbreaksble and last forever.

I also found a set of two similar sized (4" x 1.5") round stainless bowls that are shallow enough to work as budgie bowls for just under $10. Search Amazon for "DVHEY pet food bowls" and you will see this set of two small shallow stainless bowls.

Good luck. Over the years I have spent a small fortune on food bowls and feeders for my budgies only to find the clear green plastic locking ones to be my hands down favorites.
