Folger trip to vet... crazy driving and funny comments!

We took Folger into our vet tonight for just the baseline visit. He had already been vetted, but we wanted our vet to get the basics and she has great experience with rehabbing birds, including raptors.

We tried to keep things fun and light during the drive to keep Folger laughing and dancing, being silly. So we had Maroon 5 playing and I was trying to teach him to 'scream' help me (hey Victoria was driving her Eclipse GT and that is an adventure in and of itself!!).

Not sure who his sillier... us or Folger....

got to the vet a few minutes early, so sitting in the car being silly with Folger....

The appointment went well... Dr Mac thinks there is some permanent damage to some area on his chest and he probably won't grow in full set of feathers again... There was no blood, so that was good, tho he tried several times to get to fingers, with her experience with wild birds, he had met his match!!! She is very happy with everything we are doing overall, agrees with the herbal supplements, happy to hear about all the toys and foraging we are getting him into. She laughed when she heard what he does with treats I give him... I need to get a video of it... he will take the almond (his absolute favorite) and literally beat the crap out of it, then throw it back at me Definitely need to get that on video too.

But for now, enjoy the overall silliness of what a trip to the vet with us is like!!!

Then you'd love driving in Southern CA!! Even though freeway speed limit is 65, you will get tailgated really bad if you do under 80mph. It's pathetic! People here prefer to go 100... I don't though :54: NO really lol I do get tailgated and swerved around all the time cause I usually do 75 if there's enough traffic that other cars are around.

It IS crazy on the road here Mikey :30: People here are SO impatient. That's what it is. I just had this discussion with someone the other day, and we were saying that it has gotten even worse the past couple years.
It's all about cutting corners. Literally. You better act quickly or someone will try swerving around you and cut you off. If you get pushed off into a ditch, people will just go on their merry way not caring if you die lol. People out here (on the road) don't care about anyone but themselves

The U2 that we had did it, our LSC2 does it, and all the cockatoos I've ever encounter does it. So it's a Cockatoo thing.

It's a too thing definitely Ivory does this too! Folger really only does it when he is dancing. The last vid wasn't true bobbing he was just stretching up and crouching while making funny sounds. Usually it's more like bouncing.

We said the same thing when we were in Ireland last summer! We did a 10 day road trip from Dublin to the west coast for Doolin / Aran Islands then the Ferry down across Shannon Bay and kinda did a run up back to Dublin

But it was the first time I had driven on the 'wrong' side of the car and the 'wrong' side of the road!!! Think that video with Folger was funny, we should have recorded our driving around Ireland, there were moments that probably would have been in the running for Americas Funniest Videos show
