We have had to separate Flynnie from the other fids as she had started attacking them, and I mean really attacking them. So today I had to catch her, which is not easy as she really freaked out. Finally got her and have put her in a separate cage, (poor little soul is on her own for the first time in I don't know how long)

The great news about that is that for the first time in all the years I've had her she has let me give her scritches (she was my little rescue, who wasn't expected to make it) She still won't allow me to scritch her from inside the cage, but she isn't moving away, in fear, of the dreaded hand. :D :D :D We have been looking round for a male red rump, and have found a couple of places but they only sell them in pairs, I have asked them to give me a ring if they ever have a single male come in.

But while she is on her own I'm spending a lot of time working with her, and hopefully soon she will get over this absolute terror she has of hands in her cage. That will make my day. And all of the heartache and hardwork will have been well worth it.

GO FLYNNIE

I finally got to this thread, there are tones to read over here and the time I spent is not enough to read them all!:D

Poor Flynnie she is going to be alone but this maybe for her good as well because she will have the chance to bond to you more, after the work you said she needs!:)

I wish you get that ring from that man telling you to go and and get her a mate!:D

GO FLYNNIE!

Flynnie will be fine i am sure. moving her will be an opportunity for her to concentrate on not being scared. she wont feel like she will need to defend her cage.

She is doing fine, and letting me give scritches through the bars, still won't let me touch her in the cage, but she is singing away up there, and looks very happy, We still haven't been able to find a male yet, but I'll not give up. A lot of places here (South) will only sell them in twos and I only want a male, so I've just got to wait and see if anywhere has them come in with a single male. But she's doing fine, and the other little guys are so much more relaxed now. I know she doesn't like being on her own but I can't take the change that she is gonna end up killing one of the others. She's a vicious one when she has a mind to be. :D But I love her anyway.

Could you ask them to get you a male in? Explaining the reason you just need a male I am sure would ease their minds.

Yeah they know I've already got a female, and they are trying to get me one. A lot of people thought I wanted a male purely to breed them, I don't and as we know, just cos you've got a male/female, doesn't mean they will bond with each other and breed. (The rosella's haven't even attempted to, not for want of trying on Georges part, but errol just don't like her that way) :D

hehehe "errol just don't like her that way" ... too funny.
