I have a green cheek conure, I've had her for a few years now. Her wings were clipped when I got her and she has never learned to fly. She can glide if she falls or gets startled, but that's it. Her companion flies (not right now because he chewed up his flights this winter - from the dryness, I think - I was too slow with the humidifier I guess) and she doesn't try to follow. I have tried to train her, but she gets bored so quickly, or gives up, and if I move the perch a cm away from her comfort zone, she doesn't even try. I have heard of people who "drop" them over a soft surface until they get it, but she is a sticky bird and would just hold on.
I was wondering if there was anyone out there who is good with this, and would come to me and maybe give us a few training lessons. I'd pay of course. I live in Vars, about 20 min east of ottawa. I am willing to travel but I figure she would do better in her comfort zone.
