Hi I'm new to the forum . I have a crimson bellied conure and I use a flight suit on him. The first few times putting it on were a little challenging but now he pretty much relaxes in my hands until it's on. I love it, he is still a baby only 6 months old. I really like using the suit, I have a chihuahua that would love to make him one of his squeak toys so by using flight suit when my CBC is out I can tether him to me or play stand so he won't get on floor with the dog. There is a video on you tube that I found helpful on how to hold bird while putting it on. Search "how to put on jr small flight suit". This video really helped me

Our chihuahua is scared of our sun conure. The bird has flown off her perch, chased the dog around the room and then climbed back up. I've had Rocka on my shoulder with the dog in my lap and Rocka leans down to bite at her. That little bird has some guts!

I wish my chihuahua would be more afraid of my CBC; maybe if he gets a nip on the nose he would not be so interested in the bird.

We'll be getting a CBC next month, and I'm interested in training him to allow a flight suit. Did you get a junior small, and does it fit well? I'm trying to figure out what size I'll need to order. Glad to hear your baby has accepted it so well!

Sorry for the delay in replying. I originally had the jr small but it was too snug so I got the small and it fits much better. The web page where I ordered said jr small for a crimson bellied but when I called them they were very nice and let me exchange it. I got mine from avian fashion and get the smallest lanyard they have. The next size up lanyard I feel is too big and heavier. Make sure to search for the youtube video on how to put it on. The hold they use to put on the suit works great for me. I put my CBC in his suit almost every day. He is so funny when I take it off I just let him stand on my lap facing away from me and then when I undo the Velcro I just slip off the straps over his wings at the same time and he just steps out. I hope it works for you.

SOOOOOOOO cute! I just ordered mine, so want to make sure I slowly introduce it to my Bento so I don't scare him. I hope it works becuase I'd love to take him outside.
