Rest in Peace Rio
Just placed an order for a flight suit for River! :) I'm hoping since he's still really young, he will take to it well and easily, wish me luck! lol I think it would be nice to be able to take him for little walks with us.

Hopefully he lets you put it on him!

I'm hoping so too! Lots of patience, patience, patience, and perhaps a little bribery wouldn't hurt either lol.

The nappy type one. I liked the idea of a "poop catcher" if I decide to take him somewhere there won't be poopies on people lol

Can you provide a link to an online store, if nothing else I might be able to get Bob into one of those with less difficulty than the harness I currently have.

Nope, I just use a tiny dog leash. The one I ordered was 12 bucks. They have some there that include the leash, but I'd rather use the dog leash, its longer, and I use maxi pads as liners.

I ordered Lucy's yesterday from Avian Fashions directly :) they gave me a nice discount too! i got her a jr. small and an x-small... she's so tiny! we'll all have to post videos of our failed attempts LOL

I order all of mine from Wanda....she is the bomb and the best on customer service...Plus she uses flight suits on her fids as well.
Remember when you get the suit to hang it near his cage for a few days where he can see it and get use to it.
I won't lie to you, he will put up a fight and try to bite but once he realizes it means that he can go outside, it will become easier and easier...
My hahns still puts up a fuss but I get it on him and once we are outside, he is in heaven....
I just use make up pads for the liners. I just love the flight suits...good luck and let us know if we can help in any way.

yeah my eccie acts like im murdering him when im putting it on, Two minutes later its all forgotten and it means he gets to go outside! Yay!!!
Or it means he can get into bed under the covers and cuddle with mummy.... Double Yay!!!!

It came today! I planned to use makeup pads, or maxi liners in it, but it came with a whole pack of their liners, so that will be nice to use for a while. (when the site said it came with liners, I figured just a sample of one or two) I have the suit hanging from a perch outside the cage now, but River is currently too occupied munching from his veggie dish to care lol.

I am so excited for you....it is so much fun to take the fids outside....mine LOVE it....and it makes me happy to see them so happy....good luck and please let us know how it goes.

Yay! I am going to order another one for my ringneck, he was wild caught and then found himself going from home to home, and was also abused. He is very tolerant of being touched and such, so I thought in his old age he might enjoy coming outside with us, my amazon on the otherhand, well, were working on him.

And a helmet! LOL
