When one is owned by a flier that enjoys close encounters while flying past you. One, over-time, observes the use /positioning of Wing and Tail feathers in flight. This translate well when watching (in this case, Condors) flying overhead.

Condors have endured a very long, slow return from the edge of extinction. To be able to watch them gliding overhead has to be a true joy.

We have five families of Red Tail Hawks that use our backyard as a flight training area for their young. They're big, but way smaller than even a young Condor.
