first shower

Took my birds for their first shower this evening. From the moment I turned on the water Petrie started making a big ol fuss. He started making the most racket I have heard from him since I got him. Got in the shower and he was frantically going back and forth on the curtain rod. Before I know it guess whos on my head. He went right down into the shower spray and started going to town. I got him at 9 weeks and as far as I know he has never been in a shower. Anyway he LOVED it!!! Syd on the other hand..... ehhh, not so much.

My Dusky Conure loves to go in the shower with me. She has her own perch in there. (the guy I adopted her from gave it to me in a box of her stuff) I sticks on the side of the shower with big suction cups. I keep it away from the stream of water. When she wants to go in the water she flaps her wings and I pick her up and hold her under the water. Most times she just enjoys hanging out in the shower with me. She likes to whistle a lot because it echoes. My Sun doesn't like the shower. He'd rather bathe in his water bowl, but only after he trashed it with food.

My guys LOVE showers. Since I can only take one or two in together, the ones left behind make a fuss.

Puck loves to sing in the shower! He also sings when I do dishes. He doesn't object to getting wet, but doesn't usually seek it out either.

Funny thing is I didnt intend to bring him down into the shower. I was gonna let him stay on the curtain rod and get used to the idea of it but I dont think I could have kept him up there if I wanted to, lol!!!
