Finley went hiking with us! (pics)

On Saturday we took Finley with us in a 3 hour hike with nothing but his harness, a bottle cap for him to drink water out of and plenty of treats. Finley is potty trained so all I have to do is ask him if he needs to go and tap his tail lightly and he will go if he needs to, he has always been so good about it. Anyways, he really really enjoyed looking around at all the trees and being on his mommy's shoulder for hours and he even started talking up a storm in the car and said for the 1st time ever "tickles" very clearly. I am not sure why but Fin doesn't talk at home at all or even really make noises other than screaming when excited or flock calling. But when we take him in the car he seems to really want to talk but it's the only time I have even ever heard him talk much other than at the Avian Refuge. I always wonder if maybe Ollie tells him to shut up or something because Paris makes like nearly no noise at all also. This hike seems to have brought Finey and I closer together as he now wants to spend more time with me and is biting less and less. I am very very pleased!

That's awesome! So glad Finley got to explore the great outdoors. Sounds like he had a blast! Its great that things are turning out to be even better than before. Maybe the hiatus to the refuge did a lot of good for you both!
