Kenji recently molted a finger feather, and I was blown away by the strange shape. Rosie's is very hawk like, and Kenji's is completely different. SO strange how it widens at the end.

It is also so funny to me that even thought Rosie is smaller than Rosie she has a large wing span, and equal in length because of her tail(and Kenji's dinky tail)

Here's Rosie and Kenji side by side, I removed the middle of the image to bring them closer. Kenji is massive compared to her. lol One of Kenji's toes is as thick as Rosie's leg!

They are a equal distance from the camera, I just took out the middle of the photo to bring them closer, without actually having them so close.

This shows the size difference better, Kenji has such short rounded wings

I think it goes to show how unique parrots are! And it may have to do with how they fly in the wild!

Not so much how they fly but where they fly (open space, above the canopy, between the trees in a 'regular' or rain forest, etc.)

Haha, I noticed the same thing about my birds the other day.
My Senegals have that same feather shape like Kenji (and they're african too, which is interesting), so I thought Nicko(IRN)'s looked weird. :p The IRNs' flight feathers are also larger than the sennies', and their tail feathers are obviously way longer, so they look larger even though the Senegals are the same size or possibly a little bit larger - at least more compact and with bigger heads/beaks. :)
