14 year-old Green-Cheeked Conure: Mac
So, this morning Hamlet and Maki got spooked by the plows that are moving the snow around outside. I they started and flew off their cages.

Hamlet is easy to find because she's noisy, BRIGHT Yellow, and always wants to be with us. Maki, not so much. She's a drab green, very quiet and pretty independent.

Both Christy (my wife) and I had trouble finding Mak after they startled this morning ... I am going to show you where she was hiding because when we found her, we laughed and took a few pictures .. she was right in plain sight ...

This is my computer desk, yes, I know, it looks like a bomb went off on it ... one of my goals is to have it cleaned off this week, we just started a small business so there is at least a REASON for the mess .. but I assure you it's "Organized Chaos" ... anyone see Maki?

Well, here she is, looking all innocent as usual ... "what, I didn't do anything ... "

She was, as I said, in plain sight the whole time ...

Yeah, here's the issue, I thought it was a webcam too .... and I know I don't have one ... I looked at the desk and I was like, "wait a minute, I don't have a webcam ... "

The EXACT same thing happened to me with Tiki this morning. I also found her in ths EXACT same spot. I'm laughing so hard I have tears rolling down my face. Great GGCs think alike?

I can't even tell you how funny this was. And, yes, I think that GCCs are GREAT birds (as long as you can deal with the 'nippiness') and would recommend them for first birds to just about anyone. If you can't fall in love with a GCC then you aren't a parrot person.

I've had mine 3 days now and I'm so in love it's ridiculous. Is that normal? I think I think taken 1000095305 pictures of her already.

The same thing happened to me. Now I'm building volumes of photos simply because she make a great subject to photograph. Here are two of my recent "Where's Pepper?!" moments. Not quite the Wheres Waldo Maki was able to pull off though.

That's soooo funny. And your desk looks better than mine. I can't wait for my Max to get his new set of feathers so he can fly.
