Finally found a near by senegal breeder!

I'm beyond excited right now. I've been looking for a credible breeder who raises senegals for months. I'd emailed a number of bird societies and was told that the one breeder might raise them, and she's only an hours drive away. I just got off the phone, and not only do they breed them, they have four two week old chicks. So, if all goes well, I'll have a Senegal in two months time.

Two months feels like so long hehe. I've already found an avian vet, made a box full of toys, and bird-proofed my house. Now how will I occupy myself? Lol

Woohoo, congratulations! You must be so excited. I wish I was that prepared before I got Merlin, but he was just an impulse buy (after I'd done research on the species and needs etc.) Would have been nice to have the cage, toys etc. all set up, house completely bird proofed... oh goodness, I'm still trying to get on top of it all now months down the line

Well, I put a down payment on one of the little fellas. I've got pictures, too. They're still so in incredibly awkward looking, I keep looking at the pictures and chuckling to myself. And then I remember one of them is my incredibly awkward looking fuzzy little sennie
