The camera on my old phone was so poor, pictures never came out well. But I got a better phone/camera and have been able to get some shots that do my little tough guy justice.

Just thought I would share.

Oh my goodness Fae, Skittles is just BEAUTIFUL - I love that color and he looks so healthy. I have never been able to get a good picture of my birds, they are not hand tamed, and my Fischer Lovebirds are surprisingly suspicious of my camera.

He almost looks fake, he is so pretty

georgous bird

Thanks everyone! He is definitely a camera ham.

He looks like a young bird to me because his peach color is so pale - or maybe that is just his mutation. I had a peach-faced (Nikko) for 11 years, on my did I love that bird and boy do I miss him!!! and he was typically colored, very bright green, very bright peach, and that beautiful blue up from the tail on his rump like Skittles has. He had such a personality and was so bossy lol

I am not 100% sure on his age. His previous owner said that she bought him and his mate from a pet store about a year ago. So I am guessing he is around a year old.

He seems to be molting right now and I think that has dulled out his color some. I have definitely noticed a change. And there have been consistently more feathers at the bottom of the cage. He is supervised/has human company all day and no one has seen him plucking. When I look at him I can't really tell that he has lost feathers. It's just the evidence at the bottom of the cage. He was recently at the vet and got a clean bill of health. I have read online that Lovebirds molt in the fall and spring, and this would be considered late fall.

:11: MAGNIFICENT!!!!

I swear, he almost looks like THE most perfect wax figure, EVERYTHING so perfect about him, not a single feather out of place, GORGEOUS plumage....just WOW WOW WOW!!!!!!
