If I even thought there was a miniscule chance that there wasn't the chance of that ad being a scam I'd respond in a new york minute ;)

Flagged for removal. Was that the "free hyacinth macaw" ad that almost made my jaw hit the floor before I figured it had to be a scam?

I seriously have to believe nobody gives away a $10,000 parrot.

yep...flagged...oh well, you never know...dont think the word free was a part of the ad

Nope it never said free in the ad either, just that she was up for adoption, it still comes up for me using that link....

Hmm.....well, I saw a hyacinth on Craigslist last week that was "free to good home." Not in a million years would I believe that was true, so I just ignored it.

Now that we are past the "Free Hyacinth" I can tell you where one really is available. In Jacksonville Florida on US #1 at the corner of State Road 210 is a rather upscale furniture store called Dupree (sp) The wife of the owner runs the store and just happens to raise macaws and even Toucans in Palm Valley. Since Hys take two years to wean, she hand feeds the babies in the back of the store and keeps them in a huge cage. Last time I stopped in she had a hen ready to go for $10,000 and a male for $8,500. For those like me who can only dream, there is a number of interesting videos of Hys to watch on YouTube,,, try it

I've got my passport up to date and I'm heading out to Camaroon tomorrow to go pick her up, and since I'm in Florida I also have some prime swamp land for sale :09:
