Hello everyone, :)
just looked and only 8 members around this morning sooo what are the rest of you doin'? :( Anything interesting and care to share 'cause I am so bored today. :)

I'm still waking up, HAHAHA. Coffee is my friend in the morning. :D

I DO plan on continuing my 'Spring Cleaning' once the sun is up and the fids and dogs have been taken care of. Pretty boring stuff. :32:

Morning Wendy, I guess it's early where you are? Enjoy your coffee, fids and dogs - tell you what care to swap for the day ha ha
I have house stuff to do but feeling pretty uninspired today lol. Just had a mad five minutes in the bathroom with Plum who detests the plastic bin and goes ape at it, then tried to go ape at me for trying to video him going ape etc lol. Why do they decide a harmless bin is enemy number one?

Listing stuff on eBay, which is one of my least favorite things to do since it's so tedious to describe every possible detail as not to get returns lol.

I'm debating quitting my job! Any one want to give me advice? Here's the short version :

I'm currently a pharmaceutical rep specializing in hepatitis c. I love in ny and the only place that ppl have hep is in really bad areas! So bad that my bf got my pepper spray for my key ring lol so I been doing this for about 3 months and not loving it but staying for the potential of this being a career.

Before I was a bartender. Was doing it for 8 yrs and loved my life! Gym bright and early, came home to clean then went to work. As a bartender I was able to do lots of traveling which was amazing and now something I can't do with this new job :(

Sooooo, do I say screw society's standards of success and quit so I can jump on a plane? Or do I stick it out?

Holy smoking crap, Natoleee....that is one WAY to serious question to answer 'just like that'. :11:

Pharmaceutical reps make good money, no? And fighting the fight against Hep C is SERIOUS business, IMO. And of all places in NY City? FAINT! WOW, KUDOS to you!!!

If you don't mind me asking, where are you from? If you hate the city, then I don't think this will work. You are in one VERY busy area at the moment, and it's certainly not for everyone. I live in the tri-state-area, and am literally counting down the months until we move away from here. :54:

You sound young, too, please forgive me if I'm wrong.

Regardless. If you are unhappy with what you're doing, MOVE ON. You only live once. Life is short. You sound like a hard worker, so whatever you set your mind on, you WILL make it...anywhere....everywhere. :)

I'm 'not so young', but that won't stop me from 'starting over'. ;)

Do what makes YOU happy!

Quit. Jump on a plane.
BUT! I don't have to pay your bills :)
You only live once - if you have the money and the time to find your passion before your career, could be well worth it!

Hey guys kinda blew me away your responses. I just love this forum people are just so great here.
Wishing you both happiness in your choices and yes life is short. Just make sure the choices you make are the ones to make you happy. Good luck.

Haha this did turn a bit serious, but that's what I was doing at the time!! Plus your all unbiased ppl so I figured you guys can give it to me straight!

I live in Nassau country, but I'm mainly in the Bronx!! I look up where all the methadone and HIV clinics are and go there bc that's where all the business is. I'm in bad areas all day!

I am relatively young, I'll be 29 soon so I Def feel like I need to pick a career, unfortunately I lack motivation bc of bartending. Why should I work 5 days a week where i am unhappy when I can make the same money behind the bar in 3 days? Tax free!

Fyi- I don't shop! I literally save everything I make. I set aside what I need to live and pay bills then save the rest. I'm usually on vacation every 4 months living like this. Sooooo, where's the incentive again?

Oh this quarter-life crisis!:eek::eek:

On a much lighter note at least you have time to think about your next life crisis lol?
Seriously Kudos to you for what you are doing presently and the very best to you for the future and whatever that may hold for you.
From my personal perspective I think mostly it's making the decision to do something, once that's done your head is focused and it's full steam ahead to set in motion.
