Alexandrine Parakeet
Hi i just have 2 Alexandrine Parakeets.they are about 6mts. old,i was wondering if i could try n feed them boiled eggs.would this be good in their diet?

Hi there and welcome to the forum. :)

Yes, your babies can have hard boiled egg occasionally. All my fids go crazy over them. I give it to mine once a week. :)

i feed my alexs eggs once a week, i give them one to share either boiled and mooshed up or i scramble it up with some vegies. they love it and dont that they can have the shell too

Ok, question. What do you do with the shell. Do you crush it? Grind it to powder? Or leave big pieces in there? I've never offered shell.

No i have never tried feeding them egg shels, i know Africian greys enjoy egg shells, but they are larger birds .

i normally will crush the shell into small pieces and mix in the scrambled eggs. when i give them boiled eggs i just cut the egg into 1/4's and leave the shell on, it will normally crack during the cutting
