@ chris-md Good to see I'm not alone with a parrot that wants treats and to expend the least amount of energy to get it. Wings nah don't need those.

You could have swapped Parker for Plum, just the same, exact same route he'd take, had to laugh. Thanks.

Parkers a little different. He never really learned to fly :(. He will take off if startled but always has a crash landing. We actually found a bruise on his chest from this then-latest flight. I'll eventually teach him properly, probably a few years from now though.

Ah poor Parker, hope his flying lessons go well.

Thanks! Eventually. The terrible truth is I'll probably have to wait until my dog passes away. She's 9, and developed serious anxiety issues over a simple beak grind. Throw in a bird flying everywhere???:22_yikes::headwall:

Absolutely LOVED the video, Chris! Especially the double take he seemed to do once he realized you had cheese in your hand! Hahahaha!

Believe it or not, the craziest I've ever seen a bird go for food was my Bixby for... wait for it... wait for it... PELLETS! I used to top off each meal of chop with a tiny serving of 5 Harrison's Adult Coarse pellets. I just had to shake my head. Bet you if I'd had any kind of a parrot OTHER than an ekkie, pellets would've been a problem. But with my ekkie, for whom pellets were limited when offered at all? Yeah, he would do darn near suicidal head-dives in an attempt to get them. I literally could not get them to his treat dish fast enough! Lol!

Yep. Nothing like an ekkie going after his favorite food.

My Charlie is the same, but the first time he flew (very clumsily) after I adopted him, it was for...cheese! Haha. I'll be sure to post some photos of him soon. :)

And Parker is an adorable little cheese-chaser!!

So cute. My dogs come running from a dead sleep if they hear me in the kitchen. I have two pooches with anxiety issues as well (just comes with the territory of their breed). [emoji171]

Moose, Italian greyhounds?

Yep. Both acquired as adults, one rescue and another retired breeder...so while they had socialization and handling, they came with their quirks.

Separation anxiety big time with Dinah. After a short stint of meds and training/adjusting over the three years I've had her, she's much better.

Robin just gets very overwhelmed very quickly. Things have to be slow, quiet, and on schedule. She's getting there though.

You must know all too well that the quirks just make them that much more irreplaceable. <3

Chris,

Great video! I kept rewinding back to when Parker recognises that you had cheese "OK I will step up now"....lol

Cheers,

Cameron
