Feeding issues

My female ringneck is not letting the male it everytime goes near the dish she hollars and nips at him she is also eating like nobodys business and this just all started today with her ive never seen her eat this much I dont want her to make herself sick is this normal

I can't be sure but maybe it's because she is getting ready to lay? You said in another post the male made a nest, right? You might need to add another food dish for him though.

Yes he has been the one digginh in the box and she has been bringing him food once in awhile but when he comes out and goes down to the dish she gets very upset we let him out on his own earlier but he wanted nothing to do with anyone and just wanted to get back into the cage the door has been open for them to go in and out but neither seem interested in comming out. I was wondering if she was getting ready to lay and just trying to get her strength up by eating so much.
