feather grow back time

Hello.The last owner of my Alexandrine clipped his wing feathers and did a very untidy job.I was wo0ndering how long it will take for featherts to fall out and new ones to grow in ?

Any chance you know when your bird last molted? I've found feather growth is varied. If the feathers are so untidy that they bother your bird you may see him fussing and pulling them out. This won't effect how fast they grow in but it may make for an ugly bird for a bit Usually birds molt every 6-12 months so if he was trimmed right after the feathers grew in that's about how long you have. All the birds I have worked with have been in that range except the smallest which tend to molt a bit more frequently.
