I don't watch horror movies a lot anymore but "Blaire witch project" was one of the first I ever watched so that holds a special place in my heart. Same with "haunting in Connecticut"

some of those aren't scary but suspenseful, event horizon I'd say is sorta scary. It depends on jump scares vs....I'm gonna drink my self to sleep so I don't dream kinda movie....

Yes Bill, that was indeed a very good movie!

The BWP, wasn't my cup of tea. I really don't enjoy the 'home' movie type feel with a constantly moving/shaking camera.

Children being Evil in movies is quite scary, The Omen, The Exorcist, The Orphan, The Good Son, and lets not forget Children of the Corn & The Brood.

The Babadook was SUCH a good movie. It was great as a scary movie, but it was also great because of the underlying story. Normally I hate scary movies that have some kind of Message being preached, but this wasn't preaching, just sharing a perspective.

and as for oldies... The Changeling was a truly scary movie... very creepy.
