Parrots
Bourke's parrots, green cheeked conure
The rule is easy: you have 10 points and you have to divide them between your favorite parrots. You chose which and how many parrots chose, this also can be only one species and all 10 points for it. "Half-points" also are allowed;)

Everybody can write only once time. If after the last post in few days (I don't how many, maybe a week?) no one will answer, I'll write top 10 which win (if only this will be possible;))
The rules can be more complicated in counting points, because one person can write more general names eg. conure, another one full name eg. sun conure etc. The best solution would be if everybody write full species names but if not, I have a plan for this problem;)
Edit: New rule - you can't change your decizion (Thanks, Gail)

This is not going to shock anyone!

In the World of Parrots, especially New World Parrots, there is only one family of Vast Variations in their Range, Number of Species, Subspecies, Color, Size, and Attitude and that is the family Amazona.

All ten points to this Huge Family!

Amazon's Rule!

oooh this sounds fun. Here we go:

4 to the amazing Cockatiel!
4 to the perfect Budgerigar!
And a full 2 to the majestic and vivacious amazons!

(Freedom is going to kill me.. if you get any strange ransom notes please be speedy with sending the walnuts and gourds)

1 Budgies
1 Cockatiels
1 Double Yellowhead Amazons
1 Hyacinth Macaws
1 Goffins Cocktoos
5 Golden (Queen of Bavaria) Conure... my fantasy bird!

You suprised me - no Rickeybird?

No, the Rickeybird would have been a -10, making everybody's points disappear.

I feel bad now. I do love him endlessly, it's just that...

*sighhhhh*

Okay, let's just say he is too special to be on any list. YEAH, that's it!

This is a great idea!
Most days this would be so hard to decide, but today my choice is an easy one...all 10 points go to Crimson Bellied Conure , I love you Phoe.

Okay, Roz, you better make a rule that we can't revise our numbers, otherwise I'll be all over the place, like right now I want to give 5 to the Rb and 5 to Phoe!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Well done, Terry, well done.

Bonjour Parrot Forums, this is Brisbane calling. Thank you Rozalka for your wonderful idea. Here are the votes from the Brisbane jury...

Amazon Parrots - nil points (Sailboat already took care of you!)

Cockatiels and Budgies - nil points (already hugely popular, they’ll get plenty of votes from elsewhere)

Conures - nil points (same as per above)

Cockatoos - nil points (I’ve had a tough enough time with Lilly’s hormones, cannot imagine trying to manage a cocky!)

Lorikeets and Lories - Dix (10) points (for sheer high octane hilarity you cannot beat ‘em. Lilly’s had me laughing until I cry all morning. Not gonna get anything done at this rate!)

So it’s au revoir from the Brisbane jury, merci Poland, and bonne nuit!

6.5 points to Quakers!
1.5 points to GCC
2 points to hawk head parrots ( my fantasy Parrot)

Amazons- 8 points for being the best all around companions (in my most biased opinion;))

Parrotlets- 1 point because if I were ever to get a small parrot, I think they would be my top pick (plus they are sooooo cute!)

Major Mitchell’s Cockatoos and Military Macaws- .5 point each just for being exceptionally beautiful birds that don’t get enough attention in the bird community

I am a bit confused what to do but if you really want this new rule:

  • You can't revise your numbers

I think Gail's original honest numbers should stand. Before peer pressure made her change.

I agree..................... the numbers should stand........................ also, I just hollered to her in the next room and she agrees, too.

Okay, my turn.

Hyacinth Macaw, 2
Hawkhead, 2
Amazons in general, 2
Eclectus both genders, 2
Patagonian HENS, 2, ROOSTERS, 0

My work is done here................................ :38:

I counted points but I'll wait few days yet, maybe somebody will join to the game. For now in top 10 there are few enforcements:
- Patagonian conure (hen of course:D), hawk-head parrot and ekkie
- Golden conure, budgie and cockatiel
- lories & lorikeets and crimson-belied conure
Other types which have the same points are under top 10 and I didn't mention.
Whem I see how many enforcements there are, probably some of them will be in final result. I think then I'll do something like:
2nd/3rd place:
- type X
- type Y
Or maybe do you want extra voting later? Anyway, now I'm still waiting for other points;)

This is a list of parrots which are in enforcements, these which have at this moment sure place, I didn't write. The full list will be in the final results so don't worry;)

Thankfully my birds can’t read. I fee guilty for leaving half of my flock off of the list, but here goes....

Umbrella Cockatoo 4 points
Parrotlet 4 points
Indian Ringneck 2 points
