Hello everyone.
After owning a Budgie as a kid I recently bought another one: Limoncello. A beautiful male budgie. Years ago, I tamed my old bird essentially by leaving my hand in the cage long enough for her to become comfortable stepping up and being petted. As successful as this was, in adulthood I know that this is somewhat inhumane. So far, I am putting my hands against the cage, not putting them inside and taking it slow, respecting his space. I was wondering if anyone could offer more humane and useful tips for taming?
