Percy, a 5yo BFA & Jack, a 8yo Budgie
As I've told you before, Mr Percy loooves nibbling my clothing...

Well today, he was playing on my lap and I wasn't paying close enough atttention (reading the forum! :54:) and sipping a cup of coffee. Next moment, Percy nipped my n*p!!! :22_yikes: (he didnt break skin or anything, he wasnt being aggressive)

I got such a fright, I yelped and my hand holding the coffe jerked, spilling coffee on me, on Percy, on the couch, on my phone AND on poor Gizzy who was innocently sleeping by my feet! :24_shocke:

Poor Percy was so flustered and starled by my yelp and the coffee shower, he ran up to my shoulder and hasnt chewed my clothing since! :D And poor baby Gyzmo is still licking coffee out of his fur!

That'll teach me to pay attention and not get too complacent when having a bird with impressive weaponry in my lap ;)

oh Michelle- I almost literally sprayed my coffee everywhere when I read this, poor you and Percy. gosh you just never know what's going to happen do you?

I'm sure people on here who own the larger parrots are going to have a field day with ideas for you, so this should be an 'interesting' thread...

I instinctively hugged both my "girls" when reading what happened to you, Michelle.

...and yes, my "precious" ones HAVE been tampered with by McBeaks .:54: To say it was unpleasant is an understatement. I now take the utmost care when doing snuggling sessions with them (the birds!!), trying very hard to keep the ladies in wrap. :32:

Considering the size of the beaks in your home, Wendy, you may want to invest is some of those special cone shaped er....shall we say : "garmets" that Madonna wore when she was still telling her papa not to preach.... :54:

I'm afraid if I were to put THOSE things on, I'd draw attention to them - and that would not have a happy ending (for me). :11:

For those who don't know what that brassier looks like that Madonna likes to sport....here's a child friendly version of it. :52:

omg, you guys are too funny.

Years ago before my asthma got bad I babysat an M2 for a few months while the owner was recovering. She would only take showers with a human and since she was a mild plucker it was important that she get them. First time in the shower she decided the "knobs" on my chest might make for a wonderful twisty toy! For the rest of the time I kept her I wore a bathing suit in the shower.

When I was letting Zack on my shoulder, there was one time he got me across the bridge of my nose. I put a couple of fingers up to check and they came away with blood on them. I just showed them to him and said: look what you did! He, of course, was unimpressed. Just looked at me as if to say"next time don't startle me!" Just one reason he's no longer a shoulder bird.

Fortunately my "fun bits" are more protected than are you ladies, so I don't have as much to worry about there.:D

This is a great thread or misery loves company. A couple of weeks ago my quaker was very angry at bedtime. When I covered her cage, I leaned against it and she chomped. I was only wearing a thin t-shirt. Needless to say, I not only flinched, I also yelped, Harry was delighted with the response. I cover her cage very carefully now. As jenphilly commented in another post, Bad Bird....Bad Bad Bird!!

LOL!! Ouchie!!

Poor Percy. He saw you drinking that coffee and just thought he'd make sure you were REALLY awake:54: Then again, from what I hear of Mr. Percy, he just a "Burd". He never said he was a "good bird" after all:09:

Kiwi has unfortunately assaulted my lady bits before too. One night I was putting him to bed (already in my PJ's), I so carelessly reached over the cage without a bra on to adjust the cover and he felt it necessary to "investigate" by means of a sharp pinch, what was touching the front of his cage. I wasn't expecting that!:11:
Now my poor husband on the other hand, sometimes go shirtless around the house in the summer. Kiwi has a special fondness for buttons, so he will take every opportunity he can find to play with the ones on his daddy's chest:eek:

ROFL @ Kiwi!! Yes, Percy is certainly NOT being a "good" buuurd today! LOL!

BAHAHAHHAHAHA!!!!! I'm dying over here lol

Chili likes to play on the bed while we sit and watch movies...so there she was running around on the blanket, rubbing her beak all over the fleece, chomping here and there... Hubby exclaimed "OWW!!" don't bite me there!!! I'm sure you can guess WHERE she bit him ;)

This has happened on more than one occasion- you'd think someone would get a clue  LOL

ROFL @ Wendy!! I was thinking the same thing!! I wonder if one can get them in b**bie shapes too? :54:

It's funny to come here and read this thread, since I was just nipped tonight while sitting on the couch. I am ever-watchful when she gets near sensitive areas, but she has gotten me a couple of times.

I have never been so glad to just read all your stories without being able to contribute any of my own...you guys are hysterical!!!
So now I am wondering - am I just really fast and get out of the way? Or - gasp- are my lady bits not attractive to my flock?!?
