I survived another day and am home with my babies! So, the last few days have been pretty stressful. Kyleigh lost a grand total of 8 grams of body weight and my brain flipped into a panic mode. Thankfully I have a great circle of friends and wonderful veterinarian that keep me...and my anxiety...in check. However, if you ever feel something is abnormal with your flock, always contact your avian vet. I would rather play it safe, than be too late.

My keyword for the day is RELAX...because I don't do enough of it.

With birds it doesn't take long for their health to take a plunge so it's great that you're a better safe than sorry kind of guy.

Kyleigh in the second photo! So, so funny.

Glad you have a good support system to help keep you calm during stressful times. Like you, I worry so much about my Baxter (and Girlie) and always take the "better safe than sorry" approach. I've felt a little ridiculous going to the vet sometimes, but each time I took one of the birds in, my instincts were right. You have wonderful instincts - always trust them!

Always trust your instincts...good to hear all is well...Gorgeous pics I love Kyleigh and Peanut they are Beautiful and so lucky to have such a wonderful Dad :)

It's great that everything turned out okay, but you definitely did the right thing reaching out to her avian vet.

And I love Kyleigh's pose in that second pic!

These birds keep me young...even though I am only 27 lol. As everyone knows, they can be a handful at times...but the companionship you get from them is very unique in all its way

You are spot-on with that remark,Stephen. I am glad everything turned out good for Kyleigh...AND YOU! ;)

The companionship part..sigh...I truly don't know what I'd be doing,or where I'd be,without my "little green girl",and I am soooo blessed to have such an awesome Amazon.WHISPERING ever so softly.."hello??...hello?" at 2am when I'm coming in the door from a hard nights work...and to know she needs ME..i.e. just yesterday climbing up my shirt to snuggle under my chin, coz an attacking ROBIN scared the c**p out of her!..it boggles the mind sometimes
YOU GO KYLEIGH! you make your Dad so proud of you!
