Equally Random Jolly Update! (Photo and video heavy)

YAY!!!! I feel so spoiled, first Maya and now the gorgeous Jolly! Stephen, he is in such perfect feather, I am so glad you were able to correct the over preening.
He looks so proud of himself with that ring!
By the way, lovely to hear that voice of yours, I miss that (hint hint)
:)

Great job, Jolly! Isn't it exciting when you really start to see training results?

Harness training with Baxter is also going very slow. I got to the point where he had the loop on and one wing in place (yay) and then something spooked him and he tried to fly away (oh no). Needless to say, getting the harness off after that was very difficult.

So, I started training all over again... from the beginning. He is willing putting his head through a bigger loop for a treat but immediately backs away from the loop once he has the treat.

Slow and steady. That's what I keep telling myself!

Thanks, Shawna! Yes, seeing the training results really does feel amazing!

He got spooked with one wing in? Ouch! It hurts when you have a setback when so close to the goal. You'll get him back there, though. He just needs enough time to forget the madness of that incident. (How long ago was that, anyway?)

Sounds like he and Jolly have the same hang up right about now. Lol!

Hahaha! Thank you, Terr!

Yes, I'm glad about the over preening, too. It really had me worried for a while, there. You know how easily something like that can become a stubborn habit.

Haha! Yes, he really does get proud with that ring. He reminds me so much of Bixby when he gets that way.

Thank you!

Yes, healthy, happy and busy is definitely what I aspire toward with those two.
