Awaiting my baby blue front...
Well I've been quite sick for 2 weeks now, and I have several empty tissue boxes (with the plastic bit ripped out) and I'm just wondering if they could be made into a parrot toy? Any ideas?

I place the empty tissue box in Mishka cage, she rips it apart, places the ripped pieces into a bowl, them empties the bowl.
Place the box in the cage, and the box will become a private haven for your sleepy bird. Tie a few empty tissue boxes up with strings to make simple toy train, and hang it from the top of the cage, guaranteed many hours of fun for your bird.

hope you feeling better

sorry you're not feeling well, hope you're better soon x

I used to make fun of those owned by cats that spent a small fortune buying those cat condos that were the rage a few years ago, the joke being after forking out the big bucks, the cats favorite part was the box it came in :11:.......my cockatoos love to shred, I'll give them the cardboard tubes from paper towels, which funny enough my macaw runs from, and also the cardboard drink holders, it keeps them amused and doesn't cost anything, my favorite kind of toy :)

Empty TP tubes, slipped over a stone perch, also make for good chew toys. Just make sure tube is clear of excess paper!! Cutting the tubes in half, helps make sure there's plenty of room left on perch for the parrot.

They are now making tubless TP and paper towels. Save up the tubes may not be with us for much longer.

I've been collecting TP tubes too! I cut the ends in four places then fold them over to make a foraging toy to put treats in!

My girlfriends sun conure loves to get inside the empty tissue boxes and rip them apart from the inside out.

My grey just looks at them and decides its time to build a nest though :(

I've always loved giving my chewing pets tubes and boxes to play with/in~
Though I'm not sure I'll be letting them play with paper TP/PT tubes again after reading that they use zinc in the glue.
Quote from it: "Although the core glue is safe for its intended use, it is not intended to be ingested. It is not food grade and does not meet indirect food contact regulations. Therefore, we cannot recommend that it be used with pets."

So yeah... I'd rather be safe then sorry myself...
But I'm not sure what the glue has in it with tissue boxes... I'm guessing something near the same since it isn't meant to be ingested as well...

I hope your feeling better soon!!!

My parrots have a hay day with stuffs like that....They shred them up in pieces and throws them everywhere....lol
