Are egg cartons safe? I get pulp cup holders from taco bell, and there's no ink, but egg cartons are made of the same pulp except its printed with ink. Is this ink safe? Oliver LOVES his cupholders, and I wanted to know whether or not I could use it. :) Thanks guys.

Chichi loves styrofoam cups. He's always trying to steal mine and shred it to btw. He got a hold of one once and I posted a thread about it. He just bit and spit. Just to shred it. I'd also like to know about this! I hope someone chimes in and knows for sure!!

LOL That's so cute! But I wanna know because I have 4 egg cartons just lying around. ;)

I was hoping someone would have let us know by now. I'm very eager to find out! I have egg cartons also. I save them for crafts and junk for the kids. Rawr!

The egg cartons I give Mishka to play with are plain, no printing etc.
You mentioned that there is printing in it. If I were you, I would not give them to any birds.

Rather be safe than sorry. that is just my personal opinion.

WAIT. Check your cartons Lovelyloribeth. The bottom half of mine doesn't have any ink. So if I cut that half out would it be safe??? And just throw out the inky top half???

Yay! I'm off to toy making.... Adios! Hehe

My Galah , Rosie , loves to rip apart my husbands styrofoam coffee cup when he has his coffee in the morning. That's when my TOOs have their flight time .
She only bothers him , those two are pretty bonded :)
Well , what I was getting at is I was always cautious about her having the styrofoam pieces.
She only rips them into little tiny pieces , the drops them , doesn't eat them
I was wondering is it safe to give her a small cup to play with every now and then......
Yoshi will have no prt of that nonsense , he has flying to do , lolol.

Lolol every once in a while, is chi chi isn't eating It, maybe it will be okay. :) Just made some egg carton toys for Oliver! He loves it! But then he was wondering why mommy was taking so long to make mommy go a little faster he gave mommy a chomp on the finger. Mommy went faster! LOL

As long as they don't eat them. there's no harm. They are Kito's new favourite around the house and has been steadily destroying them for the past few months with a passion usually reserved for cereal boxes.
