Earth Tremor - Mishka so scared !!!!

OMG at 12.32am I awoke to the worst earth tremor ever heard and felt.
The entire ground was shaking.

I jumped out of bed, not knowing what was happening.

Checked on Steven was fast asleep. (He would sleep through anything) Dead to the world !!!!!

Mishka began screaming and calling me mommy mommy, I have never heard him so scared.

I quickly took Mishka out his cage (he sleeps in my bedroom)
I promise you Mishka was shaking. We sat on my bed, Mishka snuggled up under my Pj's, I began stroking him and eventually he fell asleep.

The result :
I sleep in a sitting position, until 4.30am. Mishka was very comfortable under my Pj's he even began snoring. I Awoke with a stiff neck......

Mishka I reckon had the most beautiful sleep.

I woke Steven up earlier, he never heard a thing, yet all his friends are talking about it on BB.

I am just so happy I was able to pacify my baby.

That must of had been so scary! And I can't believe that Steven would be able to sleep! Kind of sounds like my dad! Lol And Mishka snoring!? Wow, I never thought parrots can snore! Mishka must of had the best night ever! Being able to sleep with you!

Yipe birds do snore, I often hear Mishka snoring away.

We all do what we have to for our birds.....
No after shocks. I did surf the net today apparently many different places have experienced earth tremors beginning on Monday this week.

Earthquakes are always scary! I've felt many of them here in California. I'm glad you were able to calm Miska. Poor little birdie. I wonder what they think about it?

Oh wow, that's tiny! I can imagine if you aren't used to them it would be pretty terrifying, especially for Mishka who doesn't understand what was happening.

late 2011/early 2012 there was a 5.0 here, I sure got my adrenaline going. Rosie was pretty unresponsive then, I'm not sure how it really effected her but she seemed not to care.

We are not used to earth tremors at all...
