Hi, I'm new here :)
I have been wanting a lory or lorikeet for some time now and just wanted to get some opinions on them. What brand of nectar do you use, or do you make your own? Do you have creative ways of cleaning up after them or preventing messes...I understand they can be extremely messy with their eating habits and droppings. But my main question: are there any of you out there with a Duyvenbode's Lory??? That is my dream bird...I have heard great things about them. Pictures of yours would be great also! :) thanks

I don't have a Lory and can't answer most of your questions. I do, however, have a rather talented poop shooting conure. The absolute best thing I have found for putting around the cage to protect the wall and my stuff is this huge sheet that they use in operating rooms for catching blood and...whatever! They are reusable as you can wash off the poop or food. If you know someone who works in a hospital I highly recommend them.
