Dusty: a change in attitude?

For the past few years Dusty has hated men. He has drawn blood from my grandpa and dad and attacks any other guy who goes near him. The only exception to this is my boyfriend who Dusty loves.My boyfriend was the only guy dusty has never bitten. This is until...the other day when one of my guy friends came to the house and asked to see Dusty. I took Dusty out of his cage and held him. Dusty leaned toward my friend, but not in a threatening stance. I moved him closer and asked my friend to put out his finger. Dusty started chatting like crazy. When my friends hand got close enough, dusty stepped up to his finger. I was very surprised. The entire time my friend was at my house Dusty was with him. I have also noticed in the past few days that although, dusty still threatens and tries to attack my dad he has gotten a bit better with him. When my dad is laying on the couch i can now put Dusty on my dads shirt or pant legs and Dusty with sit content and talk to my dad. My dad just cant put his hands or arms near dusty or he freaks.

It seems that Dusty is starting to warm back up to men. Its a slow process but it will be worth it in the end.

WoW after 7 years, starting to trust men again, that is amazing.
Just shows how patience and perseverance pay off.
Perhaps Dusty can give me a few tips LoL

It is actually four years.
I dont know what changed to get him to like guys again. I guess part of it is because I have been encouraging my dad to talk to Dusty the past few weeks. So my dad has been standing by his cage and will "chat with Dusty(whistles and such). or my dad will be in his room and Dusty in his cage in another room and my dad will chat. I stepped it up in the last week to having Dusty on my and sitting next to my dad and letting them talk. I hadnt tried this sooner because if my dad got to close Dusty would freak and generally bite me. So far so good, no bites.
