Dream list

If I had unlimited time and money - not to mention some very unique permits - I would have:

A female white gyrfalcon:

A(nother) White-bellied sea eagle:

Some Himalayan monal pheasants:

Some horned parakeets:

And a few others :P

Understood Mark. That's happened to me as well, I lost my grey named, "Kasuku." I didn't get another for 15 years afterward, that was my foster Iago. Once Iago was homed and we returned to Africa, I knew I wanted another grey and Nigel came along. I'm praying and hoping your outcome is better than mine was.

I want a magpie. I know it's random but I just love them. They come to Tahoe in the summer time and I am so happy to see them. I know they are common birds but they make me happy. They are smart make cool sounds they seem to have a sense of humor. I worked at a resurant that had outdoor sitting. In the morning i would put out surgar on the tables. I would sit and watch as this magpie would come down and pick out only the white ones. He did nothing with it just made a mess. He must not have liked how i aranged the sugar packets. He cracked me up. They are little punks. I love how they fly and the simple colors. I want one as a friend one that comes to my deck and hangs out with me. I think they would be a real pain to live with.

OMG I had no idea how much money those Palm Cocktoos and Hyacinth Macaws sell for.

Ooh fun...let's see...

A Golden Eagle or Red-tailed Hawk,
A macaw, Green wing or blue n gold,
An African Grey,
Lovebirds, more budgies,
A Brown Pelican?
Probably some jays...always liked them.

Notice this is an incomplete list.
And I really didn't think too hard on it either!

oh my goodness I could talk about this forever!
(this is assuming that the world is ideal and all birds are non-endangered and available!)
a red-tailed black cockatoo!; major mitchell/leadbeater cockatoo; an ultramarine lorikeet; rosellas; a mulga parrot; a bluebonnet; alexandrine parakeet; derbyan parakeet; all macaws really; blue crown conure; sun conure; patagonian conure; austral conure (or slender-billed); green cheek (of all colors), black-capped, pearly, painted, white-eared, and white-necked conure; blue masked lovebirds; cuban amazon; red-lored amazon; a blue yellow-nape would be so frickin amazing!! (have you seen those?); blue front amazon, yellow-faced amazon, vinaceous amazon, red-crowned amazon, st. vincent, st lucia, and imperial amazons; double-eyed fig parrots; edward's fig parrot; eclectus, pesquet parrot, red-rumped parakeet, masked shining parrot, quaker/monk parakeets, english budgies, brown-neck parrot, greys, citron crested cockatoo!, galah cockatoo, a Rajah Lory (subspecies of black lory), red-breasted pygmy parrot
and I would continue but eventually i would leave the parrot realm and go on until I had named every bird in existence as well as various extinct species including, but not limited to the carolina parakeet and the cuban macaw and spix macaw (not yet technically extinct, but pretty much :c) and Archaeopteryx

realistically though, I'd love to work on helping endangered parrots and breeding unreleaseable pairs to get offspring that are raised to be released.

That sounds like a loud house!

I'd love it! I love listening to birds making their "wild noises" as we say. probably wouldn't have any neighbors after a week though!

Not only would I very happily live next door to you but if you were to give me and Mr Biggles PeterPan and Elsa and the babies an aviary section right in the middle of the birdie action we'd be very happy to move right in Rhett :) :) ;)

My only dream bird right now is a blue fronted Amazon. And I'd only want him/her so they could be my near-constant companion and get all my attention (place your bets for when my bird fever kicks in).

I also want a male Bernese mountain dog, an affenhuahua, a large pond with goldfish and koi, maybe a huge saltwater fishtank?

Also some rats, rabbits, maybe a reptile or two/three, and a crowntail betta fish in a 10-20 gallon tank. Those don't seem like dreams though, probably because they're easily obtainable.

If it counts, I'd also definitely open a nonprofit shelter and take in a bunch of animals to rehome or something (I plan to do this anyway).
