For sure! And making bird toys! I have lots (and lots and lots) of smaller bird toys, but few for a grey!

Wow. I'm sorry. :(
Thanks. Now I have to decide.. Do I adopt a Timneh baby, or do I go with a blue headed pionus? Ugh.... I don't want a congo.. I have my heart set on a timneh, and I'm stubborn about things like that :D.

How awful! Poor Coco. I wonder why he died, such a beautiful bird.
I hope you get your $$ back. Are you sure you aren't getting scammed?
That's what I'm worried about, but he checked out when I researched him. We're talking about refunds right now.

I've contacted another bird breeder, one who's come highly recommended and I've contacted before, about her babies. It seems the universe is telling me to get a baby Timneh for the training I need to do with it. Sometimes the universe screams something, and yer so hyperfocused on what you want that you can't see the vulture flying into your face. Oy. I mentioned earlier that I plan on having a bird as a Service Animal (not an emotional support animal, aka an ESA) to help mitigate depression and anxiety. This breeder is checking the boxes later today to see if there are any eggs or attempts at eggs. I guess when it is time, I'll be going with Wandering Wings Aviary. I have to decide on male or female... I don't care, as long as it's got the personality I need.. talkative and outgoing. Not in an Amazon way... more subdued. if He or she doesn't talk, oh well. We can whistle alerts and stuff. :) If worse comes to worst and there's no Timnehs, I might end up with a blue-headed Pionus.

As for the old breeder I tried getting Coco off of - he generally answers his FB messages in the morning and about 2ce a day. Slow chatting, but I understand. He's got babies, too, he's feeding. We're jumping hoops trying to get my money back. Time to do a lot of hardcore pray'n while I wrangle money from this guy, LOL. I DON'T think I'm being scammed, but there's that little voice chattering with me that says maaaaaybe...

Anyways.... lets hope Wandering WIngs has answers for me in terms of eggs. :)

Found someone with a Congo Grey about 2 hours away from me. I've messaged them. Hoping to get a response :) . The boy is 13 years old and comes with everything. I fear my new cage, meant for a Timneh might be too small if I get a Congo.

Will keep everyone updated as info progresses :)

That little "maaaaaybe . . ." voice you mentioned- how do you know that Coco really die

I saw a Congo at a bird shop in Vegas and they aren't that big.

Exactly my fear, Re: Coco. The breeder pans out, but the person who was contacting the breeder I know nothing about.

I think the cage I have would be better as a play cage. Or maybe a large sleeping cage. :)

What are the dimensions of the cage? Didn't you just buy it? Between the cage and the $$ you paid for Coco you're out some serious $$! It seems to me that if the cage is too small for a CAG it would be too small for a Timneh since a CAG is only about 25% bigger (according to the internet).

You know those situations where everything seems to hit a wall, no matter how hard you try to get it done? That's how I feel about Coco. From payment, to getting his cage, to setting up his cage, to this supposed refund. EVERYTHING is going wrong and I'm FED UP. I wish I could shove a proverbial foot up this situation's behind, because I'm getting mad as hell.

The up side is that it's starting to ease a bit. Things are slowly starting to work out...

The cage is 22L x 24w x 32h (inches). Maybe I'm being paranoid :) LOL! I want the best for my future bird.

Sorry, you feel like Murphy is targeting you. Your cage is fine. That's not bad dimensions for a CAG. With out of cage time it'll work well. My cage is 32L×24W×54H and a monster to clean, move etc. My CAG's biggest complaint is a closed, locked and secured door!

Phew! That's a huge relief off my mind! And I hear ya about the monster of a cage being hard to clean and move. MY conure and Tiel's cage is huge and a PITA to clean. :P

You should check for used cages. So many people try to get rid of big bird cages cheap if you want a bigger cage but with lots of out of cage time yours would be fine.
Have you heard anything about a refund?

He's making me jump hoops to get the refund. Because we 1) paid in installments and 2) we had issues with the money being accepted by some of his emails, we're trying to align payments with emails and phone numbers. Sadly, it's HARD getting ahold of him during the day/evening. :( So it feels like forever. I don't think we should have too many problems once the situation is understood...
