Does your macaw purr??

So the other day i was drying off remington after his shower and he atarted making a purring sound...no cats here, so Im wondering if its just a sound they make or soemthing he picked up? btw he was very content letting me dry him with a hand towel

i don't know about macaws but every now an again when i give nut a head rub, and she is really enjoying it, she makes a kinda purrin sound

Ruby purrs sometimes, but Jade doesn't. Ruby also growls when she's nervous or eating something she really likes. They're 2 different growls - one is definitely nervous and sounds threatening, the other is obviously her "numm-numm" noise.

yeah angel makes a purr type sound when she has a head tickle, kind of a low rumble with a chirp type sound on the end!

it was the frirst time i have heard it since we got him in September, it was also the first time he allowed me to rub/scratch around his head ~ we are making progress even if its slow!

I guess I got lucky that mine bonded with me from day one. I pet him, bath him, so fourth so on right away. He's not nice to anyone else though!!!

Ms. Prissy Beak purrs like a machine! Purrr purrrrrr purrrrrrr peep puurrrrr burble purrrrr! When she's happy Not a Macaw, but lots of purring.

My Chestnut Fronted (Kermit) purrs too... I can lay her on her back, stroke her belly and she starts to purr. BTW: She's for sale (in the For Sale section)
